familiarity flips

another small step forward

onto shaky ground,

into unknown hands

#

i hold on to what’s familiar,

but it flips and fades,

promising to meet me

on the other side

as i go on

alone

#

i could run,

i could crawl,

i could fight

or fall,

but any which way,

it will happen as it should

#

until i return,

i have trust as my friend

girl-788815_1280

see you on the flip side, friends xx
